Notable Entries to the Ultimate Alphabet Craft Exchange--Part 2

The Attached Mama’s Ultimate Alphabet Craft Collection

Wow! The Ultimate Alphabet Craft Collection is growing larger by the day. I have to say that I am amazed at all of the creative ideas that everyone has come up with. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to link up their blog to the collection.

ALL of the ideas linked up are fantastic. Awhile ago, I highlighted some ideas for the letters A-H. Today I wanted to share with you my personal picks for the letters I-P:

Letter I:

How cute is this little iguana shared by the Fantastic Five? If you haven't found the Fantastic Five blog yet, stop what you are doing and go check it out. Seriously. Nearly every single one of her blog posts has me "ooohing and awwing". She is an amazing lady, who has some great ideas for learning with your children. She really is a true super mom. :)

Letter J:

Alright, alright, I am a sucker for cute little animals made to look like letters. I will admit it. That is why I love this J is for Jaguars craft from Totatlly Tots.

Letter K:

Some of This & Some of That submitted these royal "K is for Kings". Look at how darling they looked all grouped together like this.

Letter L:

These lion masks were a favorite of mine because I know that my little boy would have a blast making and playing with these. You can read all about the lion mask here.

Letter M:

I just love the blog Better Than I Could Imagine. The blog is not only aesthetically pleasing (filled with GORGEOUS photography), but she also has a ton of great ideas and information. You just have to go and check out her letter M unit study. She has an entire "multi-subject" lesson centered around the letter M. It includes ideas of helping in the kitchen, science, music, etc.

Letter N:

Tots and Me learned that N is for Necktie and made this cute craft together.

Letter O:

Check out the cute "O is for Owl" snack that Kids Matter made.

Letter P:

Check out these very cute "P is for Pig Pancakes" submitted by Can I Taste it Now. I don't know about your kids but there is nothing that quite catches my kids attention like a special kitchen treat.

No Time for Flashcards also has a very cute "P is for Peacock" craft on their blog. I think that this turned out adorable!!

Notable Entries to the Ultimate Alphabet Craft Exchange--Part 1

A huge THANK YOU goes out to all of the people who have linked up their ideas to the Ultimate Alphabet Craft Collection. The collection keeps growing and growing. It truly has become a one-stop-shop for great alphabet craft ideas thanks to your help. I have gained so much inspiration from all of the great ideas. I hope you have too.

ALL of the ideas linked up are fantastic. I wanted to share with you my personal picks for the letters A-H today:

Letter A

I love this idea from the blog Inspiration Astounds Creativity Abounds. It is a great idea to get all of those large muscle groups involved in learning the alphabet. Playing off of "A is for Acrobat" she made a huge letter A out of masking tape on the floor. The kids then play a game where they have to walk the letter A like a tight rope. I know my kinesetic learners will love this idea. This game and other ideas are available for download on her blog.

Letter B

Check out this cooking craft for the letter B from Mama Jenn. It is an edible Bird's Nest. Isn't it lovely? And I bet it tastes delicious!

Letter C

For those that know me, I love cardinals dearly. So I know we will have to try this "C is for Cardinal" idea from the blog The Fantastic Five.

Letter D

If you haven't checked out the blog, Our Life you are missing out! It is a beautiful blog full of many great ideas. I love her Letter D crafts and activities. Her family learned that D is for Dirt. (How fun is that?!) And they made a cute "D is for Dots" craft.

Letter E
Totally Tots has a complete collection of both upper and lower case alphabet crafts. This is one of my favorite as I think it turned out adorable. It is an Egg for the lowercase letter e.

Letter F
The blog This and That has a whole page of Letter F activiites and crafts. I liked this "F is for Feather" craft that they did. I think that the tactile element of this craft would make it irrestible for most kids.

Letter G
Brimful Curiosities made a GIANT Giarff from the letter G. Didn't it turn out amazing?

Letter H
I think that this is such a cute letter H craft. This comes from The Sellers who learned that H is for Hearts.

Introducing the Ultimate Alphabet Craft Collection

I love using crafts to teach letter recognition and beginning word sounds. There are so many great ideas out there in books and online. I usually stumble upon them by accident while I am surfing blogs. However, they can be difficult to find by themselves since they can be referred to by so many different names (Letter crafts, ABC, Letter of the week, the specific letter, etc. etc) I never know what to search for.

So I decided to start compiling these ideas into one collaborative collection. I call it...

The Ultimate Alphabet Craft Collection

The purpose of this collaboration is to collect all of the wonderful alphabet crafts on the web in one place. This will allow us all to share ideas and inspiration, surf other blogs, and show off our children's art work. :)

How is the Collection Organized?
A separate page has been created for each letter of the alphabet to make it easy to find a craft for the letter you are looking for.

You can see a master list of all of the Alphabet Pages and read more about the Ultimate Alphabet Craft Collection here.

How can I add my blog to the collection?
Just visit the specific Alphabet page that corresponds to your craft. Then use the Linky tool to link your blog. It is very easy.

Now...just to get the creative juices flowing, here are just some of my favorites alphabet crafts online:
